About the Melbourne Chapter

The Melbourne Chapter supports QCC members living in Victoria and Tasmania. Our one regular function of the year is the Annual Induction Dinner which is sponsored by IBM Australia Limited and to which all members of our Chapter and their partner are invited.

From time to time your Chapter may organise other social events. For more information please talk to our contact in the table below.

Eric Sharp

It is with regret that we record the death of Eric Sharp who passed away mid June 2008. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Tutors for Kingston University of 3rd Age (added 24/4/08)

Hi Jenny

As I said to you over the phone I am involved at Kingston U3A (http://web.aanet.com.au/u3akingston/ ). I wonder if you could pass on this email please.

We are always looking for volunteer tutors so if there are QCC members with expertise in a particular subject who are willing to share their knowledge with others we would be very grateful. The reward of course is in the
pleasure of giving and sharing.

The Kingston U3A is located in Albert Street, Mordialloc. Equipment is starting to come out of the middle ages with up-to-date machines for the students; 2 notebooks and 2 projectors plus an overhead projector for
displaying pages from books.

Calendar

The IBM QCC Annual Induction Dinner is held in the November/December timeframe and is sponsored by IBM. All IBM QCC members and their partner in Victoria and Tasmania are invited. You should receive an invitation from IBM roughly two months ahead of this event to which you will need to RSVP.

Membership

Anybody living in Victoria or Tasmania who has qualified for the IBM Quarter Century Club is automatically included in our Chapter. The Chapter has both present and former employees of IBM Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world. You don't have to have qualified in Australia to become a member of the Chapter.
