Last updated 22 Nov 2008 Welcome to the home of the Australian Chapters of the IBM Quarter Century Club. We celebrated our 40th year on 5th May 2006. As you can see, the site has been revamped to bring "news" onto the home page and move all contact lists to a new "Contacts" page. Two new pages have been added; IBMA HR for future use by IBMA and Discounts. Feedback on this web site is always welcome. So if you have any suggestions or updates, please send an email to webmaster@qccaustralia.org IBMA QCC News On behalf of the IBM Quarter Century Club, congratulations on
reaching 45 Years with IBM. Congratulations 20 Feb 2008 Slavko Malesevic celebrates 40 years with IBM The 23rd of April, 2008 was the 40th anniversary of the day Slavko Malesevic joined IBM. 40 years in IBM is a major achievement attained by only a few. Congratulations Slavco. With Maurice's passing we have lost a major connection to the establishment of the IBM Quarter Century Club. No one will surpass Maurice's service to the QCC. He qualified for the QCC in 1966. He attended the first ever meeting of the QCC and joined the committee created at that meeting. He stayed involved with the QCC for the next 41 years. Maurice's contributions were many. The most well-known being the annual weekend away. Maurice planned the event, vetted the facilities and organised the component functions for this event for a number of years. We still follow the format he established and it is only in the last few years that Maurice handed over the organisation into the capable hands of Connie and Clyde Lee and Geoff Nash. Maurice had kidney problems for the last 12 months. Prior to this period he was very active in the QCC, starring as a panellist at the QCC 40th Anniversary Annual General Meeting and receiving an award for his 40 years of service to the QCC at the 2006 Annual Dinner from the IBM ANZ CEO, Glen Boreham (pictured). Maurice received an OAM in 2006 for his services to charities.
We will miss Maurice, his advice, guidance and experience plus his
contributions to the discussions at our meetings.
20 Dec 2007 The following IBMers/QCC Members have been recognised in the 2007 Australia Day Honours for services to the community. There may be others but these three have come to our attention. If you know of others, please send an email to the webmaster.
